Note: MedCalc is started in a new Windows Explorer window. You can see the Windows Explorer window that you have started with the following command line parameters
-l: -l Explorer: Start the Windows Explorer window with live help

From the clients, locate mcservsu.exe and mcnetsu.exe in the folder in which MedCalc is installed on the server. mcservsu.exe can optionally be used to place the license on the server (see Method 1 below) mcnetsu.exe can be used to configure MedCalc on the clients (see Method 2 below) by registering medcalc.exe and the MedCalc file extension.mc1 in the Windows registry. The MedCalc software is not installed on the clients itself, but it is run on the clients directly from the file server.
If you decide to use the Windows registry for configuration, you can place the MedCalc software in the registry of the clients. Afterwards you have to use mcnetsu.exe to configure MedCalc. mcnetsu.exe accepts different command line parameters so some of the configuration process can be automated.
When the MedCalc file extension.mc1 is added to the Windows registry on the client, the software automatically starts. You can then load the configuration file medcalc.cfg from the network share to start using MedCalc.
If you have no network access to the clients, you can run mcnetsu.exe on the client and save the MedCalc configuration in a file medcalc.cfg. When using the file medcalc.cfg, the setup is performed using the MedCalc program stored on the client.
