Hello there, i keep trying to download Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 portable to run it on 32 bit Windows 7. I was going to do an upgrade to Windows 8, but i guess that will be a PITA because they don't get the fonts or something like that. They never did timely updates for Adobe Illustrator. Vista at least did updates when i used it, and that sounded like it did what it was meant to and worked. I guess the last version they updated for Windows XP was 8.1, but it was super buggy. I just downloaded the Creative Cloud File for Windows 7 and said \"yes\" to that offer. Then when i tried to run it, it said the installer was signed by \"Microsoft Corporation\" which is the step after \"Actual Publisher\". i don't know what that means, but i clicked \"Ok\" anyway, just to be on the safe side. anyway, now when i try to run the software, i get the message \"Adobe Illustrator Companion cannot be started. Some of the services required by this application are not available. Click \"OK\" to close.\" i just reset Windows i think, back to its factory reset state and now when i run the software, it says \"Microsoft Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. you don't have the correct permissions to access it.\" i ran it as administrator, but that did nothing to change that. i tried running the software as administrator like it said in the help, but i think it resets it to the overclocked system points called \"cutting corners\" mode and then of course it gets stuck at that point. i don't really want to install Windows 8 if it's so buggy that they didn't even bother to give it a proper update and it keeps crashing in such a ridiculous way that i have to stay on like Windows 7. I also thought they didn't release Adobe Illustrator CC because it crashes and only exists in beta, but as of September 2017, it still isn't officially released: https://helpx.adobe.
